Brake Line 2011.12
Starting with the Line 2011.12 TYROLIA offers some bindings models without brake, marked “w/o brake” to avoid brake exchanges later on and provide suitable brakes for different ski widths.
Please note: For these models you need to order appropriate brakes separately.
Optional brake types are described next to the binding model offered without brake.
SX – Next Generation of Ski Bindings
2011.12 – Kick-Off of the newly redesigned binding product line, featuring improved function and a more dynamic ski steering approach.
The TYROLIA SX product line was developed with new kinematics for binding toes, based on laboratory measurements and tests. The advantages for ski bindings: enhanced performance and safety!
The improvements from the new construction are easily measurable for every skier:
ENHANCED STABILITY PROVIDE PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS FOR EVERY SKIER, BASED ON NEW KINEMATICS:
Horizontally – more stability for more direct power transmission from boot to edge.

Vertically - whether icing up, dirt or boot wear, the ski boot is always precisely secure due to the linear adaptation to the height of the ski boot sole. This ensures exact and direct ski steering.
Plus - considerably improved canting stability for better edge grip and faster edge to edge turns
Additional performance related enhancements include better boot centering and reset force. In other words, the boot returns to its original position after impact or displacements in a fast and precise manner. Proven technology features provide safety and stability, not only through measurements, but in practice in the field (on snow) as well.
All the latest components are based on the new kinematics – whether icing up, dirt or boot wear, the ski boot is precisely secure due to the linear adaptation to the height of the ski boot sole. This ensures exact and more direct power transmission from boot to edge.
Those kinematic improvements are reflected in the product design as well, and define the basics for the new TYROLIA product line and upcoming binding family, focusing on the functional structure of the new binding generation. With the new kinematics we were able to define the roller pincers, which secure the ski boots, as separate elements.
With their distinct "eyes", the "face" of the new SX toe, with its high cheek bones reminds of a fox – smart, spry, agile and very clever.
Furthermore, a new developed weight-optimized adapter, with a new Anti-Friction Slider provides increased safety in all PowerRail binding models.
The next generation of ski binding toes – for a more enjoyable skiing experience and renewed dynamics!
Kick–Off of the Next Generation of Skiing!
Generation neXt
Stability LX/SX
Enhanced stability provides performance improvements for every skier, based on new kinematics:
Horizontally – more stability for more direct power transmission from boot to edge.
Vertically - whether icing up, dirt or boot wear, the ski boot is always precisely secure due to the linear adaptation to the height of the ski boot sole. This ensures exact and direct ski steering.
Plus - considerably improved canting stability for better edge grip and faster edge to edge turns.
Re-Centering LX/SX
Additional enhancements in performance include better boot centering and retention force. In other words, the boot returns to its original position after impact or displacements in a fast and precise manner. Proven technology features, not only by measurement, but in the field on slopes, as well.
All the while always improving skiing’s safety and stability!
PowerRailTM
First on the scene and unrivalled, the new rail system developed by TYROLIA meets the demands of adult skiers, while being perfectly suited for both retail and rental sectors!
The countless features are the key to success for PowerRail, the latest binding-system from TYROLIA. They include: easiest handling, maximum flexibility, optimized performance, perfect match, more stability and durability.
The successor of renowned Railflex System II is a modular system:
• PowerRail Base & PowerRail Pro Base. The high-end variant, PowerRail Pro, is equipped with an additional Freeflex band
• Dampeners in two different widths for optimal ski-fitting
• 3 different binding models: Power 10, 11 and 12 cover all segments
• Suited for boot-sole length of 260mm all the way up to 380mm
PowerRail – and all bets are off….
LITERAILTM

The Technology for Retail & Rental
In 2009, TYROLIA presented the innovative rail-system – called LiteRailTM (LR). Succeeding the RAILFLEX® LITE system, LiteRailTM is suitable for both the retail and rental sectors as well.
Due to three different mid parts, LiteRailTM covers bootsole lengths ranging from 199 to 347 mm: the SMALL mid part from 199 to 283 mm, the MEDIUM model from 239 to 323 mm and the LARGE mid part from 263 to 347 mm. Covering this large mounting range and selection of three different binding models (LR 9, LR 7.5 and LR 4.5), LiteRailTM is the ultimate system for kids, juniors and women.
Compared to the previous RAILFLEX® Lite base, the new LR base is lower and narrower and therefore looks much more integrated. Due to the new construction, it can easily be mounted to skis of 87 cm onwards without affecting the flex and performance of the ski.
Mounting and adjusting the LiteRail® binding is extremely simple and can be done without any additional tool: Open the toe-lever and slide the toe on the rail from the front. Lock at the appropriate boot sole length and close the lever. Now hook the brake into the heel housing – open the lever, slide the heel on the rail from the back and lock it at the appropriate boot sole marking – close the lever – and you are ready to go.
LiteRail – the new TYROLIA rail system saves you time and trouble…
Freeflex® Pro - The Race Technology
Best performance enabled by the innovative Freeflex® Pro System. The free-gliding heel allows the ski to bend through unimpeded and to retain its natural dynamics. Due to the reduced stand height, the Freeflex® band is now much closer to the ski boot. Constant release values reduce the risk of injury and ensure safe ski steering.
Race Pro Heel
The stand height was reduced according to the actual FIS rules. An increased contact area reduces friction and provides constant forward pressure in all skiing situations.
That’s the Peak!
Unlimited feeling for free riding! Peak is the specific Park & Powder binding of TYROLIA®. It comes with the new TYROLIA® Race Pro Heel, reduced stand height and weight. The stylish design sums up the attributes of this new binding - adrenaline, action, and aesthetics. And, all of that combined with maximum safety.
