BIOGRAPHY

My story as a skier is quite unusual because I was born and raised in a big city in the center of Poland called Łódź, in a completely flat part of our country. I had a 5-hour drive to the nearest mountains, namely the Tatra Mountains in the south of Poland. I started skiing at 3 years old thanks to my parents and grandmother, but I went skiing only occasionally for Christmas and winter holidays.

I have always loved skiing, but in my younger years, I did not have the opportunity to train skiing due to the long distance and lack of facilities. When I was in high school, my friends showed me freestyle skiing and it was love at first sight. I started to ride on any free moment, quite quickly managed to get into the Polish national team and won the title of Polish Slopestyle Champion several times.

My dream was to live near the mountains and combine my life with skiing, so after high school, I moved to the French Alps and started my studies in Grenoble, France. Later on, I moved to the French part of Switzerland, where my boyfriend, who is also a skier, comes from. There, I put on my first wide, freeride skis about 7 years ago and fell in love with freeriding.

In the beginning, I was mainly riding in the woods, which was a great way to learn some techniques in powder. Afterwards, my friends, who participated in some competitions themselves, motivated me to try my hand at the first freeride world qualifier competition. I didn't know what to expect and what my level was compared to other skiers, but I was very keen to try. In the end, it was worth it because I managed to win my first competition during a freeride week in Verbier. Encouraged by my first little success, I continued to compete in the following stages of the qualifications and managed to get into the 4-star competitions. After only two seasons in the Freeride World Qualifier, I managed to qualify for the Freeride World Tour. It was a dream come true and kind of a shock that I was able to jump into the top level so quickly and ride on par with my idols.
