BTR kinematics
The BTR kinematics of the PROTECTOR EVO ensures a consistent release behavior in the event of a backward twisting fall. It compensates friction with the help of two different release characteristics based on vertical load.
Improved brake functionality
The improved brake offers better retraction in the closed position and is narrower in the open position.
Recommended by your knees
With knee injuries making up 34% of skiing injuries, the PROTECTOR binding is designed to tackle the most common and serious risk in skiing. In particular, additional studies have shown that women are two to three times more likely to injure the knee and ligaments than men (see Senner et al. 2014, bfu Report No. 69, Bern).
Backward twisting falls
75% of all knee injuries are caused by backward twisting falls. PROTECTOR can lower release values by more than 50% in these situations.

Independently confirmed
Studies from the University of Innsbruck confirm PROTECTOR’s ability to reduce forces on the tibia and ACL.
How does it work
1. Low, short-term forces are absorbed by PROTECTOR's 7 mm of bilateral travel. Benefit: This elasticity avoids pre-releases.
2. Higher forces that exceed the release setting will move the heel the full 7 mm at which point PROTECTOR rotates open by 30° to release the ski boot.
