PROTECTOR+ & PROTECTOR EVO

Safest just got better

With the expanded PROTECTOR series, we bring our most advanced safety innovation into even more disciplines.
With the expanded PROTECTOR series, we bring our most advanced safety innovation into even more disciplines.

The new Protector+ Freeflex, complete with our game changing safety technology, brings elite innovation to the racing segment.

For Piste and All Mountain riders, the Protector EVO PR now features a refined toe piece and reworked heel design for greater safety at highest performance. These additions don’t just extend the range, they redefine it.

In freeskiing, Protector+ Attack delivers enhanced performance with lower stand height and higher DINs, offering greater precision and protection.

Key Facts

BTR kinematics|#start|BTR kinematics|#end|

BTR kinematics

The BTR kinematics of the PROTECTOR EVO ensures a consistent release behavior in the event of a backward twisting fall. It compensates friction with the help of two different release characteristics based on vertical load.

Improved brake functionality|#start|Improved brake functionality|#end|

Improved brake functionality

The improved brake offers better retraction in the closed position and is narrower in the open position.

Recommended by your knees|#start|Recommended by your knees|#end|

Recommended by your knees

With knee injuries making up 34% of skiing injuries, the PROTECTOR binding is designed to tackle the most common and serious risk in skiing. In particular, additional studies have shown that women are two to three times more likely to injure the knee and ligaments than men (see Senner et al. 2014, bfu Report No. 69, Bern).

Backward twisting falls|#start|Backward twisting falls|#end|

Backward twisting falls

75% of all knee injuries are caused by backward twisting falls. PROTECTOR can lower release values by more than 50% in these situations.

Full Heel Release (FHR) function|#start|Full Heel Release (FHR) function|#end|

Full Heel Release (FHR) function

Intelligent 180° release both horizontally and vertically ensuring maximum safety in forward and backward twisting fall situations.

Reducing ACL Strain|#start|Reducing ACL Strain|#end|

Reducing ACL Strain

Unlike conventional bindings, PROTECTOR releases both laterally and vertically at the heel, and can reduce ACL strain by more than 50%*.

Independently confirmed

Studies from the University of Innsbruck confirm PROTECTOR’s ability to reduce forces on the tibia and ACL.

How does it work|#start|How does it work|#end|

How does it work

1. Low, short-term forces are absorbed by PROTECTOR's 7 mm of bilateral travel. Benefit: This elasticity avoids pre-releases.
2. Higher forces that exceed the release setting will move the heel the full 7 mm at which point PROTECTOR rotates open by 30° to release the ski boot.
